FAQ
Do I need to fast before my test?
The most common tests that require a 12-hour fast are glucose (blood sugar) and cholesterol (lipid panel). The lab order often states when fasting is required.
                    Do I need an appointment?
Most lab tests do not need an appointment.
How long will it be until my doctor receives the test results?
Most routine tests are complete and results delivered to physician offices require 24 hours. Specialized testing that is not performed at ACMH may require 3-5 days. Lab results can be accessed via the Patient Portal.
